Y3K, a point of reference in rentals since 2008, operates as a partner of GLS, with offices in Alessandria, Asti, Alba, Cuneo, Savona, Albenga, Imperia and Vercelli. In the second half of 2018, the operating structure was reorganised into two divisions: medium- and long-term rentals for companies and individuals of environmentally-friendly vehicles with low-polluting emissions, along with assistance-related services such as the supply and installation of electric charging columns, solar systems for the provision of energy to vehicle fleets and relative management support.
New managerial positions were created, whilst all vehicles and high-polluting automobiles were replaced with new Euro 6 and electric-drive vehicles and dedicated management software – all with the aim of boosting the core business. Today, Y3K boasts a significant fleet of commercial vehicles with the Mercedes Benz Sprinter Euro 6, Premium Brand, now in its third generation. Since having first hit the roads in 1995, over 3.5 million units of this innovative, efficient and reliable vehicle have been sold in 130 countries. This, combined with the ownership vehicles including 21 Teslas, has seen Y3K grow to holding the third Tesla Fleet in Italy.
The decision was made to go with an innovative brand – the US company TESLA Inc. (formerly Tesla Motors). The company’s goal is the production of mass-market-oriented high-performance electric vehicles. Founded in 2003 in San Carlos, California, by Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpenning, the company has grown in terms of staff to include many global experts in computer science and computing systems, in the electrical and electrical engineering and electronics fields. It is named in honour of the well-known inventor, Nikola Tesla. On 9th March 2020, it reached the milestone of 1 million electric cars produced, taking out first place amongst all automakers.
The models available in the Y3K Fleet are the MODEL 3 Standard Range Plus and the Long Range, offering from 448 to 614 kilometres of autonomy (WLTP)*.
The acceleration of the Tesla models is immediate, just like flicking a switch. Press the throttle and in 2.5 seconds, you can reach 100 kilometres per hour. All Tesla models are 100% electric drive, meaning you no longer have to worry about fuel. Charging the vehicle at night at home, it will be ready each morning for a new day, just like you. And when you’re out and about, it is easy to recharge the car along the way at a public charging station or at a point along the Tesla charging network. There are currently over 17,000 Superchargers in the world, with six new stations opening each week. SUPERCHARGER: 275 KM OF AUTONOMY IN JUST 15 MINUTES.
The interiors of Tesla models are unlike anything seen before. Use your smartphone as a key and access all controls from the 15″ central touchscreen. Software updates via the Internet introduce new features and provisions.
* Autonomy figures based on the WLTP standard. The actual autonomy of the vehicle varies based on your vehicle configuration, battery age and condition, your driving style and the operating, environmental and climatic conditions. The WLTP standard can be useful in comparing the autonomy of electric vehicles.
